Final Fantasy IX Comes to Europe
With its introduction to Europe, Final Fantasy XI now becomes the world’s first triple platform, triple region multiplayer game. The game currently has over half a million players and over a million and a half characters internationally. The Tokyo branch of Square Enix is the creator of Final Fantasy, which can be played on Windows PC, XBox and Playstation 2 (PS2 available in the U.S. and Japan only). The new European operations will be handled by the company’s London division, Square Enix Ltd. The London office also deals with the publishing and marketing of other titles throughout other PAL territories.
