Final Fantasy XI update to bring new abilities, fix immobility
As long-time players of Square Enix‘ Final Fantasy XI (Microsoft Xbox 360, PC) would know, life in Vana’diel gets easier when you spend more time in it. The same can be said today after details of the game’s next version have been revealed. Find out what will change by reading the full article.
The next version update of Final Fantasy XI (Microsoft Xbox 360, PC) may change the way you play if you’re a mage, as Square Enix is going to add a good number of convenient skills. Other job classes can benefit from the upcoming adjustments, especially those for the recently unleashed Dancer and Scholar.
White Mages will be able to move around much easier with teleport spells, while Black Mages are going to learn a new warp spell. Citizens of Vana’diel can learn other nifty abilities, such as Stealth Ninjutsu for Ninjas and Elemental Spirit MP Absorption for the Summoner. Puppetmasters are set to be more combat-ready with new automaton weapon skills.
Meanwhile, the ability delay of waltzes will be shortened to six seconds during trance for Dancers. Scholars are going to be more effective with the maximum number of strategem charges increased and charge time reduced.
Another big gameplay tweak for Final Fantasy XI is the reduction of immobility duration when players get cured after attacking. The Cure spell previously prevented characters from moving until spellcasting is finished when it targets an attacking character.
