Final Fantasy’s Ivalice duo rules Famitsu’s weekly sales (May 7 to May 14)

So, what’s the cat’s meow at Japan for the moment? Straight from the Famitsu‘s software sales of last week, we find that Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings has fluttered down to number two, with the top spot now being conquered by its PSP kin, Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War. PSP owners will be interested to know that Lion Wars is the sole PSP title in this normally DS/Wii dominated sales list:

  1. (*NEW*) Final Fantasy Tactics: Lion War (PSP, Square Enix)
  2. (1/-) Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings (NDS, Square Enix)
  3. (2/2) Super Paper Mario (Wii, Nintendo)
  4. (3/4) Wii Sports (Wii, Nintendo)
  5. (12/14) Brain Age 2 (NDS, Nintendo)
  6. (4/3) Momotarou Dentetsu DS: Tokyo & Japan (NDS, Hudson)
  7. (8 /13) New Super Mario Brothers (NDS, Nintendo)
  8. (5/5) Wii de Yawaraka Atama Juku [Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree] (Wii, Nintendo)
  9. (15/15) Eigo ga Nigate well Otona NO DS training: Eigo Duke (NDS, Nintendo)
  10. (17/24) Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes A Day (NDS, Nintendo)

Lion War‘s North America release is expected to appear this October, while Revenant Wings is expected to land this Winter. That’s all for now – let’s hope Square Enix doesn’t decide to move the dates any further along.
