First Blu-Ray Movies and Player Now Available

The age of next-gen media formats has begun – and so has the war! Yesterday the very first Blu-Ray movies went on sale for the general public and this batch is actually to coincide with the Samsung BDP-1000 BD player that went on sale this Monday. They’re retailing for roughly 20 to 25 bucks but this varies per store. As mentioned above, the Samsung BDP-1000 has been released as of Monday so expect a lot of new movies (old movies, new releases) during the course of the following months.

Costco has already been listing two titles for a while now, but this is the first real big release.

– The Fifth Element
– Hitch
– House of Flying Daggers
– xXx
– The Terminator
– Underworld Evolution

Two weeks from now:

– Ultraviolet

July 11:

– Basic Instinct 2

July 25:

– Stealth
– Species
