Flagship Studios: “Back to business” with Hellgate

Where's Buffy when you need her?

Here we go. “Happy New Year,” says Flagship Studios. Now back to work! (Whip crack). Okay, before the slave drivers bury the devs again with more work, to get Hellgate: London ready for its 2007 launch  – yes, they did say “we’re launching the game” in 2007 – they’d gone and posted those few updates in the game’s official site, to keep the fans, er, updated.

The original plan for the development work was that the devs would move from internal testing to “FNF” (friends and family) alpha testing by the end of 2006, they decided to just keep on plugging (work) until the end of 2006, take a couple of weeks off, and then move to external testing beginning 2007. There you go. Based on this piece of info, we can expect alpha testing to begin soon, perhaps this month or the next. The next question to really ask now is, “when’s the public beta?”

Also, they have one of the “most devious business plans in history”: Space Duck. What the heck is Space Duck? Flagship says the picture below is Space Duck. Not helping!

Must be rabbit season.
