Florida bar official demands Jack Thompson to take psych test and suspension
It seems Jack Thompson is in hot water yet again, and this time it could be serious. A Florida Bar official wants the lawyer to submit himself to a psychological exam, and to also take a 91-day suspension of his law license. And before you ask, this is coming straight from the horse’s mouth – well, from an e-mail the attorney sent, anyway.
This isn’t the first time Jack Thompson came under fire from the Bar. If one remembers, he’s actually tied up in a few federal lawsuit against the Florida Bar, with the latter moving to hold a disciplinary meeting with the lawyer. This is in response to the many complaints regarding Jack’s professional conduct during the controversial events revolving around the controversial titles Grand Theft Auto and Bully.
It’s also to note that this isn’t the first time that the lawyer had been requested to take a seat in the comfy couch and asked to talk about his childhood – it’s already been done before, with Jack coming away clean and getting a cool US$20,000 out of a settlement with the bar for damages. We can only wonder how he’ll fare now, if he does comply with the Florida Bar’s demands.
Updates as we get them.
