Free trial for EVE Online offered at Steam
It was announced on the official Steam Website that gamers can now try CCP’s popular MMORPG, EVE Online, for free. Considering this is the very first MMORPG to be made available via Valve’s software distribution arm, it might be interesting to see how many people will take advantage of this offer. CCP’s EVE Online is looking really awesome. The addition of the Trinity Expansion and the multiple patches the developers have been releasing for it have only made the game better with all the added features and refinements.
Those who want to try this game out but haven’t had the chance to do so may be pleased to know that Steam is offering a 21-day free trial of the game. Gamers who decide to avail of this offer can decide whether to subscribe to the game service or discontinue it after the three weeks are up.
Those already playing the game should be advised that the product keys will not work with existing EVE Online accounts. This means that you cannot use the free keys to extend your playtime by 21 days. Too bad, it would have been cool if they gave a couple of days free to the older subscribers of the game to celebrate CCP’s partnership with Steam.
