Talk about getting some official recognition! Fring, the first-ever homebrew mobile VoIP for the iPhone, is reaching for the wider market as it is now made easily accessible via the App Store.

While it was released some time ago as an independent application, having it on the App Store will totally help push further development on this homebrew. Currently, the VoIP service already supports contact lists from Skype, MSN, Google Talk, ICQ, Twitter, Yahoo!, and AIM. While that pretty much covers the major players in the IM arena, who knows what else they could add on the list?

If you haven’t joined the Fringster bandwagon just yet, you can head to the App Store and download the application to your iPhone – whether 3G or the original – or iPod Touch.
