Frontier 1337 Released
Atien has released a port of a game, GLFrontier, which was originally a clone of an Atari game, Frontier Elite II. The game is still in beta stages so there will be a few glitches here and there. And expectedly, the frame rate isn’t at full speed. Expect it to get better with every version.
Here’s the features:
- The game is almost playable when few objects are drawn on the screen.
- Sound is working but is a little crappy. No music yet.
- Save/load file working.
- Don’t try to rename the save file in the game as there is no OSK implemented yet and it will freeze the game.
It can already be modded since it accepts wav files as the sound effects. Plus, you’ll be able to listen to your own music in Ogg format, plus even MP3s perhaps at some point. Check out the readme for key configuration, plus other details.
