And we all know how video game adaptations of movies are trouble. Which is why G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra will have its own official video game! Go, Joe!
EA picked up the rights to the game, and will be releasing it in time with the release of the movie on August 7. True to any movie-based game, it will be released on all consoles and handhelds. Not much is known about the game yet, but its official site gives these details:
- Assemble an elite JOE team and call in reinforcements when the mission gets down and dirty.
- Choose from 12 of your favorite JOEs, each with a unique set of skills and weapons.
- Gear up with the latest in high-tech gadgets.
- Jump into, steal or hijack powerful G.I. JOE or COBRA vehicles, then fire away!
How excitingly… generic. Well it’s a movie-game so I’m not expecting much. I am expecting a lot out of the movie though. Have you seen the awesome trailer (complete with cheesy acting) yet?
