GameCrazy shutting down remaining outlets?

GameCrazy has about 250 stores remaining, but rumor has it that the game retailer might be in the process of shutting them all down.

GameCrazy has about 250 stores remaining, but rumor has it that the game retailer might be in the process of shutting them all down.

 

Joystiq reports that one GameCrazy employee told them that the company is now going through liquidation. “It’s going to be business as usual for the next two weeks, we’ll see our releases for the next two weeks, but we’ll likely be closed by the end of June,” said the employee.

 

The employee had been part of a conference call regarding the state of the company, and it seems that the retailer is in the process of finding a company to sell their remaining products.

 

Another GC employee informed Joystiq that after the 18th of May, they will be “done with pre-orders.” This employee encourages all those with pre-orders with GameCrazy to drop by and pick up their deposits for games coming out after the aforementioned date.
