GCDC 2007 details announced: more halls, art, culture
With only a few months left until August, the GCDC 2007 will take place”>Leipzig Convention (a.k.a. the Games Convention) has announced its plans to expand into gaming art and culture aside from education and training tracks, using even more areas to host these events. For this purpose, the GCDC will be occupying not just a whole exhibition space, but up to four more halls, too.
All games and entertainment can be reached through Halls 2, 3 and 4, while Hall 5 will tackle GC-related art and culture. Hall 1 and the Congress Center Leipzig, together with the GC Business Center, will serve as the main venues for retailer, publisher, developer and journalist exhibitions.
The official press release states that schedule times for the exhibition have been changed to August 23 (Thursday) and August 26 (Sunday) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., while the exhibition halls will be open on August 24 (Friday) and August 25 (Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time.
GCDC 2007 is gearing up to be the biggest event in Europe this coming summer, to take advantage of being an open-door event to the eager public, unlike the invitation-only E3.
