GDC 09: Gran Turismo 5 will be released when it makes the most sense

We had a conspicuous lack of updates for Gran Turismo 5 at GDC. ah, but we did have one itsy bitsy piece of news from SCEA‘s John Koller, who says that the game will be released when it “makes the most sense.” He also suggested that it might be coming to more than one platform. We had a conspicuous lack of updates for Gran Turismo 5 at GDC. ah, but we did have one itsy bitsy piece of news from SCEA‘s John Koller. If you blinked you’d have missed it. Koller says that the game will be released when it “makes the most sense.” He also suggested that it might be coming to more than one platform, saying:

Ultimately, they [Polyphony Digital] are a developer who makes a lot of their own decisions. But we are looking at GT5 across all platforms, just to see what makes the most sense.

Would Koller be talking about the PSP Gran Turismo game that’s been AWOL for some time now? The most we heard of the game for the past year is that it’s “still coming.” A formal announcement for the PS3 version (and maaaaybe the PSP one) is expected this E3.
