Grimsquad: a surprise WIP from Guerrilla Games?

Although it has not been confirmed yet, we are quite excited to report (speculate?) that Guerrilla Games is currently developing a new title. We’re quite sure it is actually something else and not Killzone PS3 as that is a whole different matter all together. The SCEI-acquired developer refuse to furnish details about the new game apparently because of the criticisms Killzone suffered from gamers.

Despite their zipped lips anyway, a few number of details still got out and we’re telling you, they sound quite promising. According to grapvine talks, the new game is to be called Grimsquad: Endless Warfare. As the title implies, it is a squad-based, over-the-shoulder-view action game with premium placed on coverage and flank attack. The main campaign can actually be played by network co-op mode with up to 4 players, with a maximum number of 24 players supported in one go.

Furthermore and probably most exciting, we understand that the characters involved in the game wear an armor that is actually divided into 15 parts, with each part getting destroyed when damaged. Aside from those, no other information are available as of yet for Grimsquad.

Oh, by the way, we heard that as of this writing, the game is 40% done and can be expected to come out before the first quarter of 2007 ends.
