As with Guitar Hero III‘s re-recording of Sex Pistol’s “Anarchy in the UK“, Activision has announced via press release that Guitar Her World Tour (Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii) will also be bringing back some tunes from yester-decade, now remastered for the next-gen.

This time around, MC5 will be contributing a re-recorded track for their song “Kick Out the Jams.” MC5 lead guitarist Wayne Kramer has gone back to the studio to record the song again (after 40 years now since it was first recorded) exclusively for World Tour. What’s more is that he’s brought some of his friends with him to join in on the re-recording: Gilby Clark of Guns ‘N’ Roses and Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains.

In like manner, Sex Pistols and Motorhead are hitting the recording studios once again to re-record their own tracks to contribute to the game: “Pretty Vacant” and “Overkill”, respectively.
