Gundam Musou heads to US, becomes Dynasty Warriors: Gundam
So we’ve got some good news and some not-so-great news for you folks. Let’s start with the good stuff, alright?
IGN reports that Namco Bandai and Koei‘s collaboration on a Dynasty Warriors-like Gundam game, otherwise known as Gundam Musou, is heading to the U.S. near the end of summer. The game, which was previously a PlayStation-only affair, will be getting an Xbox 360 treatment as well, to the delight of Gundam fans everywhere.
What’s the not-so-great news? Well, in what could either be called an act of extreme transparency or the greatest marketing ploy ever created, Gundam Musou will be renamed Dynasty Warriors: Gundam for North American audiences.
From a semi-historical account of the turbulent times in China’s history to the completely fictional account of a battle between the Earth Federation and the Zeon forces, you can definitely say the Dynasty Warriors franchise has moved a VERY long way, timeline-wise.
