Euro release date of The Darkness for PS3 moved to July 20
Fans are already counting down the number of hours left until Starbreeze Studios and 2K Games unleash The Darkness out on the streets, but unfortunately, it looks like European gamers are in for a longer wait than previously expected.
According to PS3 Fanboy, various big-name video game retailers have changed the listed release date for the PS3 version of The Darkness from June 29 to July 20. GAME.co.uk was the first to change the release date, doing so about a week ago. Amazon.co.uk and Play.com eventually followed suit. No official word from the publisher and the developer regarding this issue has been released yet.
Of course, fans should note that the PS3 is region free, and the game’s US release date is still slated for June 25. If you have a friend in the US and you’re really dying to play this game, try to see if he or she can score a copy for you. The European release date of the Xbox 360 version of the game remains unchanged.
