Hacked Wii Shop browser not working anymore
A few days back, we reported about that Wii hack which enabled surfing the net through the Wii’s Shopping Channel without waiting for the Opera browser to be operational on it. But it seems the surfing days on the Wii is over…well, until the Opera browser kicks in.
Apparently, the update issued by Nintendo ended the hacked, net-surfing days. According to something we found over at Dustin Software Online, the hacked console was happily surfing Yahoo and Google as the server did all the DNS redirection. When he (or she) updated the firmware, the hack didn’t work anymore. It looks like you’d have to shell out some Benjamins for Ninty’s official browser. Well, the best things in life may be free, but nowadays, everything seems to come with a price.
