Halo 2 and UNO: confirmed 360 vs PC
You know Microsoft is pushing the Xbox Live vs. Windows Live multiplayer pwnershipfest like it’s the next gateway… escapism. Shadowrun and Age of Conan are just the beginning. During the Consumer Electronics Show keynote today, Kotaku reports that Bill Gates revealed two other games that will become the trailblazers for Live (and pwn) Anywhere: Halo 2 Vista and UNO.
(Raises hand) Uh, Major Nelson, will this affect Halo 2‘s stats on the Xbox Live charts? Sure as heck the temptation of the Halo 3 beta might boost Halo 2 numbers up. (Another hand goes up) Just another question, really. What are your predictions of the casualty rates of Halo 2 Xbox controller players vs. Halo 2 mouse-and-keyboard players when the twain shall finally meet?
(Yet another hand) Will the Xbox Live Camera features of Xbox Live games such as UNO be mirrored by PC cameras on Windows Vista? (And even yet another hand) Given reports that the Xbox 360 can be used with PCs, thanks to wireless dongles, shall the controller be a recommended gaming device for use with Games for Windows? Conversely, will the upsurge on PC-vs.-Xbox competitions lead to the development of mouse-and-keyboard support for the 360 or the future version of such?
These are the questions that haunt us.
