Heavenly Sword: Cinematic Production video
The last time we heard about Heavenly Sword, we got an eyeful of Nariko’s three stances, and pretty much how the game is going to rock – in terms of slashing up your enemies with finesse and style, that is. Now, we move on to watch style of a different sort, specifically the overwhelming detail put into being able to convey every single emotion of the characters.
This video, titled Cinematic Production, gives us a sneak peek at how the people over at Ninja Theory are getting the facial expressions of the actors reproduced in the world of pixels, down to the last angry wrinkle. Using highly-advanced motion-capturing techniques, they are able to track each and every movement of their actors’ facial muscles – and the entire process, cumbersome as it looks, makes for very convincing facial animations indeed.
You can watch all of this, as well as some delicious gameplay bits, in the video embed below. Enjoy!
