Lupidan has informed the NDS community about his upcoming NDS game, a 2D Zelda game. This side-scrolling homebrew game features the legendary Link from Zelda. The game offers a different look at Zelda that hasn’t been used since the times of the SNES. You navigate link through various side-scrolling levels with impressive homebrew graphics and dual screen integration. From the screenshots, the game looks to be played on a 2D, side-scrolling level with no monsters at the moment. The game features this so far:

  • Collision system for any map of any size
  • Level system, every level is a .c file with it’s images. Easy Level change. I can do as many levels as I want
  • Bombs that hurts the hero when exploding
  • Arrows Implemented
  • Most of the swords attacks implemented, normal, in the air and spin attack in the floor and in the air.
  • Title screen
  • Life system with hearts just like in traditional Zelda
  • Lots of sounds for the hero
  • 8 direction boomerang with a well done movement
