Hoverbards and parallel dimensions: Pre-XBL Street Trace NYC event
Hey! Where’d that come from? This was speeding way too fast that we almost weren’t even able to catch a glimpse of it before it reached the February finish line. And we’ve got to thank Scott for tipping us off! Street Trace NYC is about to come out next month on XBL for 800 Microsoft Points.
The game from Gaia Industries works kinda like Trickstyle on the Dreamcast. It’s a hoverboard racing game with a lot of intense versus action. The story is set in the Outer Boroughs of a New York City in a parallel universe. You can play it alone with the story mode of the game that will have you boarding through five tourneys of 63 match-ups and three bosses. Street Trace NYC can also be played with up to four of you in multiplayer mode. Go online, and you can up the count to eight players.
Now, if you just happen to be in NYC (like, the real one… in our dimension), you’re in luck. You can join an event being hosted by the developers themselves prior to the game’s release on XBL. Here, you’d be able to test the game and have a blast with other players. The event will happen on February 6, and all you need to do is RSVP by sending in your email address.
