How to Install the XCM 360 DVD HD Cover
Remember when we talked about the crystal case (from Team Xtender) and the ghost case (from Clear Xbox)? Both let you see your Xbox 360’s innards. Wouldn’t it be cool if you could also see your DVD drive’s innards? The XCM 360 DVD HD Cover will let you do just that. Here are illustrated instructions on how to do it.
Step 1: Remove the 4 screws. Yes this is an easy step that most people could never possibly mess up, but people mess it up all the time: make sure the screwdriver you use is a perfect fit. If you end up using a screwdriver that’s too small or too big, you could end up ruining the grooves and then it’d be impossible to remove the screw (don’t laugh, first-timers make that mistake all the time). Believe it or not, Step 1 is the hardest.

Step 2: You’ve unscrewed it. Remove it. Look at it. Alert the United Nations of your major accomplishment.
Step 3: The lid you just removed has a magnet. Remove that magnet. Put it aside. You will need it for a future step.
Step 4: This is the replacement lid. Notice this replacement is composed of one metal lid and one part see-through part that goes on the metal lid; this lets you see your spinning disk inside! Yours doesn’t have to be as pretty, but if you want one like this, you can get it from XCM.
Step 5: Find the magnet you took out in Step 3. Put it back in.
Step 6: This is a fun step. The most important part: the XCM cover you just bought has a notch in it. Look at it.
Step 7: Remember the notch from Step 6? Align it with the notch on the metal lid.
Step 8: Congratulate yourself.
