Idea Factory announces Mist of Chaos for PS3
Idea Factory, the same guys who brought us Generation of Chaos way back in February, has finally announced their very first title for the PS3.
For those not in the know, Idea Factory is a Japan-based dev company that specializes in fantasy-strategy games.
Now, given that factoid alone, we kinda get an idea already on what their first PS3 title will be like. But just in case you don’t get our drift, here are some of the details we scored about their upcoming game, Mist of Chaos:
- The game is set in Ades, a land that has remains obscured by a mist. Ades consists of three kingdoms: Zedeen, Priterion and Kamuikoku.
- Basic gameplay: you’ll get to choose one of these kingdoms and work on uniting the land under one common rule.
- Battle scenes and environments are rendered in 3D.
- Separate cut-in animations used for near and long-distance attacks.
- The game will also use movie scenes for some skills.
Because Mist of Chaos is being developed by a fantasy-strategy specialist, we can expect that one of the main foci of the game will be the strategic gameplay. Details remain scarce as they have just announced the game, but if you want, you can check out the game’s teaser site at www.ideaf.co.jp/mist/chaos.html and boy, I just have to say, that site really puts the “tease” in “teaser site.” Hahaha, you’ll see. So anyway, Mist of Chaos is slated for a Japanese release February 2007, we’ll keep you posted once more details turn up.
