IGDA Aiding Laid-Off NCSoft Employees
We reported earlier that NCSoft Austin snatched the jobs of around 70 employees due to less than expected profits that the company got. Now, the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) enters the picture to help out the recently sacked employees. According to Kain Shin, an IGDA volunteer, the local chapter of IGDA has been trying to help out the laid-off employees.
The organization is said to be hosting CVs or resumes of the sacked employees. Apparently 7 out of the 70 former NCSoft employees have taken a bite at their offer. If you ask me, most likely, the resumes of the former employees will range from quite impressive to awesome, with MMOs like Guild Wars, Auto Assault, and City of Villains among others under their belt. Surely, these employees will bounce back. NCSoft’s loss is another company’s gain.
