Interview: Metal Gear Solid 4 shipping with Metal Gear Online Starter Pack at launch

For those who are still wondering if they’ll get Metal Gear Online by purchasing Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, here’s an interview with Konami‘s director of marketing at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2008 to clear up a few things. To clear the confusion surrounding Kojima Productions’ Metal Gear Online and how it  will be integrated in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, publisher Konami‘s director of marketing confirmed at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2008 that the widely anticipated Sony PlayStation 3 exclusive will ship with the MGO Starter Pack at launch.

Konami didn’t reveal much, but details are said to come soon. Konami’s representative told GameSpot that sufficient elements of Metal Gear Solid 4‘s online component will be included in the Starter Pack to give gamers a taste of the Metal Gear Online experience.

With its scheduled July release date right around the corner, the rep said Kojima Productions is hard at work in completing the game’s development so there are no plans for a downloadable demo as of now.
