IO Interactive founders reform Reto-Moto
A group of developers from IO Interactive have vacated their positions to reform and kickstart Reto-Moto, the development studio that gave rise to IO Interactive in the first place. Could this lead to a Freedom Fighters sequel? More in the full article.
In the beginning, there was Reto-Moto. While Reto-Moto has yet to put out even one title, perhaps its most notable achievement was to form IO Interactive as a joint venture with Nordisk Film.
This was more than a decade ago. A lot of things have happened since then, like the sale of IO Interactive to UK-based Eidos Interactive and the creation of the successful Hitman franchise.
Now, the founding members of Reto-Moto have left IO Interactive to kick-start Reto-Moto once again. Accompanying them is Eidos’ former executive producer, Neil Donnell.
The newly-reformed company has yet to announce any upcoming titles but it looks like the studio is planning to wage war in the online entertainment software market. We’ll bring you more news as soon as we get them.
