Is Nintendo Revolution Technically Inferior to Other Next-Gen Consoles?

You know how Nintendo refuses to discuss practically anything about the Revolution? Shawn White thinks it’s because the Nintendo Revolution “will not be the most technically powerful machine in the next generation.” And perhaps the company is trying to avoid comparisons which could put it in bad light? But White also thinks being the 90lb weakling on the next-gen console beach isn’t exactly a bad thing. “Nintendo doesn’t need the most technically sophisticated console. In fact, I’ll attest that Revolution is better off with ‘lacking power’… though that doesn’t necessarily put the machine at a disadvantage. Potential is still abound for us to say “wow” about Revolution’s visuals, as well as to simply have gobs of fun. Ultimately, isn’t that why we play games, for fun, for entertainment?” The bottom line is no one, not even White, knows for sure how the Revo story will play out. All we can do is wait.
