Jajah announces free/reduced cost call service for the Sony PS3

Jajah PS3: Hooray for the sounds of calling freedom! - Image 1

Back in April, Jajah announced that their free Internet-routed voice-call service would be made available for the PSP, on-the-go reach out and touch someone (so as long as you can find an access point and a nearby phone). One month later, they’re bringing it to the PSP’s newest big bad brother in the living room, the PS3.

It’s also done via the web browser: plug in play.jajah.com on the address entry, and be brought to the PS3 Jajah interface. Log in, follow the instructions, and if the call goes through, enjoy!

Fine Print:
BTW, to clarify things: you will need a nearby phone to use Jajah. Instead of your phone initiating the connection to the called party, Jajah connects to both your phone and the other guy, like an old-fashioned telephone operator who handles the connection for the both of you. And especially if it’s a long-distance call, since you’re routing through whatever Jajah’s using, rather than your regular phone service provider, costs are reduced (compared to regular distance-call or international-call rates), or even free (aside from ISP costs) if you and the guy you’re calling are both Jajah members.

Okay, there’s actually more math involved here. Click Read to learn more about Jajah for PS3, and from there, you should also be able to learn about the reduced rates and from where you can make free calls.
