Japan hardware sales: Nintendo DS slides to second place
February 22, 2008
The Nintendo DS seems to be picking up a bit in sales. After being in third place in Japan’s hardware sales for two weeks running, it’s now risen to second place, bumping the PSP back to third place. More details in the full article.
After two weeks on third place in Japan’s hardware sales charts, the Nintendo DS is picking up some of its lost momentum. While it hasn’t claimed its spot back on first place, it’s slid to second place, beating the PSP in sales.
The DS may be getting up in the charts again, but hardware sales across all consoles are declining. Perhaps we’ll see sales pick up again once the summer holidays arrive. Here are the hardware sales in Japan from February 11 to 17:
- Wii: 78,583
- DS Lite: 62,362
- PSP: 59,654
- PS3: 17,637
- PS2: 11,266
- Xbox 360: 2,198
