Japan’s Resident Evil 5 Limited Edition revealed: pre-orders start soon
Yesterday’s Resident Evil 5 news from Famitsu felt like a horde of zombies hitting a huge industrial fan. While everyone seems to be talking about the demo (and all other brouhaha over it), another bit of info from Famitsu was Japan‘s Resident Evil 5 Limited Edition. Today we finally get to see the damned thing. Turns out the limited edition really is going to be limited. There’s only a quick time period in which people can pre-order a copy of it.
Yesterday’s Resident Evil 5 news from Famitsu felt like a horde of zombies hitting a huge industrial fan. While some may still be a bit miffed about the whole demo’s 360-exclusivity in Japan (bah, don’t worry, it’s non-exclusive elsewhere), another bit of info from Famitsu was the Resident Evil 5 Limited Edition. Or, since we’re talking about Japan here, the Biohazard 5 Limited Edition.
From yesterday’s report: It’s going to be exclusively available on Capcom‘s e-portal. JPÂ¥ 12,800 (around US$ 135) for the limited edition gets you the following:
- 32-page all color art book (with staff commentary)
- BSAA waist pouch (like what Chris Redfield wears in the game)
- 2GB USB memory card shaped like an anti virus item from the game
- packaged in a deluxe box
Today we finally get to see the damned thing. The dates you see at the top pic indicate (if my presumptions are correct) the pre-order schedule – meaning, those who want to get the limited edition only have a limited time to place their pre-order for it on the e-Capcom online store: specifically from December 1 to 16 only.
No word if the Limited Edition – or maybe just some of the items included in it – will ever make it across the Pacific, but for now, this bundle is only for Japan (and for both versions of the game – the PS3 and Xbox 360).
The e-Capcom store is just ahead, via the source link below. Meanwhile, here are other pics of what the bundle includes:
I’ve always thought that waist pouches are so last decade and all (maybe two decades now), but man, I wouldn’t mind having Chris Redfield’s gear – yeah, he’s kick-ass like that – might come handy for some cosplayers too.
Capcom’s Resident Evil 5 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 is to be released on March 13.
