Keep that Fever going: Patapon 2 trailer, NA release date, LBP Patapon Sackboy revealed

You know you’ve played too much Patapon if your reasons for not coming to class or work are always “Because I couldn’t let my Fever drop.” And as such, Pata-fever is slowly creeping into North America. Patapon 2 gets a new trailer, complete with the NA release date. And for the PS3 fans, the PlayStation Blog also reveals… the Patapon Sackboy.

According to the PlayStation Blog, it was a year (and a day) ago that the Almighty’s one-eyed army first marched out into North American retail, and because of that, they’re celebrating with this epic trailer for the sequel, Patapon 2:

Yes. If you watch the trailer until the end, the release date for Patapon 2 in North America is revealed: May 5, 2009.

This trailer they put together signals the start of more Patapon 2 announcements from the blog in the coming weeks. The first one of which is the confirmation of the Patapon Sackboy costume for LittleBigPlanet (oh so that’s where Karl got his image yesterday…). No details yet of when the costume will be available on LBP, but here’s the Sack-pon – err, Pataboy? – in full regalia:

I wonder though. If we’re getting Patapon costumes, will there be Rolito-inspired levels too? Because dang, his stage designs are awesome. Not to mention the bosses!
