Keith Baker to Write New Stories For D&D Online: Stormreach

Keith Baker, the writer who created Dungeons and Dragons Eberon  campaign, has been slated to write additional stories and  scenarios for the new D&D Online: Stormreach expansion.

According to developer Turbine CEO Jeff Anderson, ” [Baker’s]  fiction is sure to engage and entertain our players in the months to come…we are delighted to be working with him.”

Baker broke into writing for games four years ago when his entry was selected as the winner of the 2002 Wizards of the Coast contest. The goal of the contest was to find fresh concepts for a D&D virtual world. Baker’s entry – Eberron – has been the setting of D&D Online every since. Last year, his novel City of Towers was also published to rave reviews.

D&DO:Stormreach is one of those online games that has kept true to the experience of its pen, paper and gameboard roots. Anyone (like this writer) who remembers playing the original D&D back in the 1980’s will find much in the cyber-version that is familiar – right down to the dungeon master and the 20-sided die.
