Korea gets Wii System Menu 3.5, blocks PatchMii and Twilight Hack
The Wii’s System Menu has been updated to version 3.5 – in Korea, at least. Yesterday, it was found that Nintendo had sent out notices to the Korean Wii Message Board informing their consumers of the said update. More details after the jump.
The Wii’s System Menu has been updated to version 3.5 – in Korea, at least. Yesterday, it was found that Nintendo had sent out notices to the Korean Wii Message Board informing their consumers of the said update.
Described in the TMD as v39. (0x186), the said update includes the following:
- IOS52 (used by menu)
- IOS254 (a copy of IOS9, to block PatchMii)
- Along with Updates to all 4X IOS versions (IOS40 IOS41 IOS43 IOS45 IOS46)
Affected by the said update:
- Twilight Hack 0.1beta1 and below? – Status Unknown
- PatchMii – None (yet, but should be easy)
- DVDx – Status Unknown
Well, the Homebrew Channel is reported to be still fine and dandy. However, you cannot install it without the Twilight Hack. No news yet if and when this update will come to other regions. Stay tuned!
