Labyrinth of the Minotaur Updates: Interviews and Speculations

MinotaurLast time, Electronic Arts Mythic gave us some new info regarding the much-awaited MMORPG Dark Age of Camelot: Labyrinth of the Minotaur. We really liked the idea that we’d be going through a large maze with a cute little Clockwork Kitten. We wonder if she needs any springy yarn or something to play with. Although the most awaited character is the Minotaur; an extremely powerful playable character. See, the image? He’s holding a two-handed axe with one hand! He’s that strong.

So we were looking for any new info regarding this game and we saw an interview Director of Community Relations Sanya Thomas. When asked why they decided to do a cross-realm class/race game expansion, she said that it gives them new ways of exploring possible storylines in the future. It can make players think of other ways of fighting/working/interacting with others in the game.

As for the Minotaur, holding the two-handed axe with one hand? She was a bit unsure of that one; looks like a no-comment statement to us. Uh-oh. Changes may ne in the works for this one. One teeny-weeny bit of advice though: Don’t fix something that ain’t broken.

Regarding the new class-the Mauler, she’s saving any more info on the Las Vegas Roundtable. The Maze itself is the main bad guy in this game, not the monsters in it. Not that much with Boss Monsters. We’re speculating that it might include a lot of deathtraps and secret trapdoors and the like. Hmmm…seems good in the beginning but can it sustain interest in the game? Remember, it’s all speculation, folks.

A story-driven content does not mean a Trials of Atlantis II, she says. Good, the last thing we need is a copycat.
