Latest batch of screenshots for Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic the Hedgehog fans must be getting pretty excited by now with the release of its latest incarnation for the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 coming closer and closer.

With the countdown to November 17 already ticking away, the Sega mascot’s latest adventures will center on rescuing Princess Elise of the country of Soleanna, the City of Water. The princess just so happens to be the keeper of the dark secret “Flames of Disaster” which, as usual, Dr. Eggman Robotnik wants to get his hands on, and so, Sonic zips off to defeat Eggman and secure the Chaos Emeralds once again. However, in this game, a mysterious figure named Silver the Hedgehog comes from the future to warn Sonic and try to prevent a disaster that may be triggered by Sonic’s present actions.

Sonic the Hedgehog will feature three lead characters, namely Sonic, Silver, and Shadow the Hedgehog, all of whom are confirmed to be playable. It also features the Havok physics engine, which gives robots and debris realistic physics as objects are moved or destroyed in the field.

Can’t wait for November, can you? It’s closer than one might think, so in the meantime, let’s enjoy these screenshots until the game finally makes it into our homes and ultimately, into our console disc trays.
