Lego Halo slated for Fall 2008?
We all know how much fun Lego Star Wars was, but are we ready to see Master Chief, the Arbiter, and the rest of the Halo universe gang get kiddie-fied? We just might before the year ends. Images from Electronic Gaming Monthly“>EGM and quotes from Bungie indicate that the project is real, but wait, what issue are we reading? Oh, snap! The full article has the details.
When we reported to you that famed Canadian-based devs Bungie were working on a new Halo project, we certainly didn’t see this coming. A scan from the latest Electronic Gaming Monthly issue shows that we could have Lego Halo inbound.
Yep, Lego Halo. Apparently, the kiddie fever that hit franchises like Star Wars, Batman, and Indiana Jones has spread into the Halo universe, or has it?
Let’s see, this is the April issue of the publication, and this IS the same EGM known for its outrageous pranks during this time of the year, so…
When developer Lee Carlton said “we really feel like the Halo trilogy is as strong as Star Wars, and thatÂ’s why weÂ’re excited to take our rich universe and present it in a way everyone can enjoy,” we assume that he was pulling our legs. So much for hoping that Lego Halo turns out to be as good as Lego Star Wars was.
We must say that EGM almost got us there. It was an elaborate joke which was planned to perfection. But if this turns out not to be an April Fool’s joke, then that’d be cool too. You can check out the full “feature” if you guys buy the April issue of EGM – so you might want to see it our for yourself. Back to your homes, people. Show’s over.
