Linden Answers Forum closed

Second Life frustration - Image 1Over at the official Linden Blog, they report that they, Linden Labs, the folks who are responsible for Second Life, have closed the Linden Answers forums.

They explain that Linden Answers was originally intended as a place where they could pay attention to issues of broad usefulness to the SL community. Unfortunately, the format hasn’t kept pace, and Linden informs that Linden Answers has been flooded with questions that belong in other avenues, like say account specific, and bug-related questions and reports.

They add that Linden Answers was also difficult to search, and this doesn’t help prevent already answered questions from being asked. They say that they understand that the place was a waste everyone’s efforts, time, and energy, and instead of continuing to run Linden Answers, they will expand these resources:

They announced the demise of the the Linden Answers forum after the closing of the Land Management Forum. The Land Management forum closed for similar reasons.
