LOTRO’s Jeffrey Steefel talks loots, content update, monters and more
Turbine’s executive producer for LOTRO, Jeffrey Steefel, gamely answers several questions from the LOTRO community about more details, insights and whatnots on the game. We’re pretty sure you want to know where the best loot in the game will be, as well as the content update schedule and more. So, without further ado, let’s get the ball rolling.
Says Steefel, you may very well expect a whole lot of opportunities to take home the bacon — er — loot. And predictably, this would be at the mastery level, which also happens to be the highest tier of crafting. But of course, it won’t be limited there, so you better be up on your toes as well in raids.
As for the content update schedule, Steefel keeps mum about the exact plan for now, but he does reveal that they do intend to do what Turbine’s done in the past: update very, very frequently. In fact, he says, “people can expect content to be put into the game as early as 30 days after launch. And we’ll continue to put out content frequently throughout the year.”
Now, what’s also exciting about LOTRO is the great monster play in it. By far, they have received a lot of comments from those who have tried it, and the feedback is nothing short of sweet. Apparently, they enjoyed it immensely, and it is apparent that “people really like the way we do PvE and that even on the monster play side, it’s a fun thing for them to be able to do from a different perspective.”
