Lucky Tokyo Retailer Recieves PS3 Demo Unit
It may seem like PS3 development is going nowhere but Sony have once again risen up against the criticism with another stunt we weren’t expecting. One ultra-lucky Tokyo retailer has already taken delivery of a first PlayStation 3 demo kiosk – a step towards the console hitting it’s target of a November release. Apparently, the multi-story Yodobashi Camera outlet in Tokyo’s coveted Akihabara district now has an actual (Yes, I mean real!) PlS3 unit on display.
A LCD monitor above the console shows a set of PS3 game trailers including Afrika, Genji, Heavenly Sword and Eye of Judgment. At the moment you cannot actually play the console, but the fact that a real PS3 console has been put in the store shows that development on the Blu-ray console has been productive. Don’t expect to have a PS3 demo unit in a store near you just yet though.
