Lumines to dance its way to Windows PC
Lumines sure can’t be tied down. After enjoying a fantastic success in both the PSP and Xbox Live versions, the musical puzzle game is making its way to the PC. The news first broke out as a new ESRB rating showed up on the board’s pages. And what do you know, Q Entertainment did not even bother to keep us in suspense about it. A great game like Lumines apparently doesn’t fear truth.
Lumines was such a fancy shmancy hit for both the PSP and Xbox 360 consoles (via Xbox Live), that it is no wonder developer Q Entertainment is spreading its wings to the PC territory.
Showing up on the Entertainment Softwares Rating Board (ESRB) is a Windows PC version of the game. Kotaku contacted the developers, and to their surprise, they got a straightforward answer. No dilly-dallying, no obscure “no comments”, just plain, straight confirmation of the existence of the title. That, and even a promise that more details will be coming out in the next few weeks.
Well that’s certainly a breath of fresh air, especially in an industry where there seems to be the belief that the more you keep a project tightly sealed, the more enticing it will be for the gamers. I guess it’s because Q Entertainment sees no need to hype up Lumines as the game is a hit already by itself.
So you heard it from them. There will be more details trickling in, so you better stay tuned for those.
