Maddox will be pleased: Ikaruga heads to Xbox 360

Have you ever heard of Ikaruga? Well, Maddox, owner of the self-proclaimed “best damn page in the universe” described it such: “Ikaruga is one of those games that comes along, kicks incomprehensible amounts of a**, but nobody notices because everyone’s too busy playing dog s**t football games.”

Let us say he’ll be quite pleased to know Ikaruga’s headed to the consoles once again.

According to a report from CVG, Treasure‘s Ikaruga game will be headed to Xbox Live as a downloadable game, though a date and price has yet to be set for it. Apparently, the game appeared on the debug version of Xbox Live, but nothing else has been heard about the game as of yet.

Note, however, that this is still hailed as one of the best space shooters ever created, as well as one of the rarest, with only 50,000 Dreamcast copies of the game ever made. It also holds the distinction of being created by only four people yet remaining highly-stylized and full-featured. Needless to say, we’ll keep an eye out for more info on that one.
