Magazine Scan Shows Naruto For DS And Wii
A couple of photos of a Japanese game magazine has recently surfaced at the 2ch boards, and eventually into other gaming communities as well. The photos bear what appear to be screenshots for the Naruto game Naruto Shinobi Retsuden, a 3D fighting game based on the widely popular anime and manga series Naruto. The photo also shows the word “Wii” in the scoop section of the page, which brings people to speculate if this could be THE go signal to believe that our favorite Konoha ninjas may be gracing our DS handhelds and the Nintendo next-gen console soon.
Interestingly enough, how this game can make use of the DS’ dual screen remains to be seen, though one has to admit that having a 3D fighting game on your handheld is a really cool idea. Whether this game will be as fun as its cel-shaded counterpart for the PS2 remains to be seen, though Sakura’s “power attack” in one of the screens is enough reason to put this game in our list. Though there is no information regarding the availability of this game as of yet, it is supposedly being developed by 8ing.
In the meantime, we wait for more news and hopefully a confirmation from the developers or from Nintendo about this game.
