Majesco: Cake Mania 2 on Nintendo DS, Cake Mania coming soon to Wii
The world’s favorite culinary game heroine, Jill, is coming back to the Nintendo DS, after selling over 200,000 copies of the first game to DS gamers worldwide. Majesco Entertainment, together with franchise creators Sandlot Games, have wired in the news of Cake Mania 2 for the Nintendo DS, and it’s chock full of additional content for fans and new casual gamers alike. Majesco Entertainment picked up Sandlot Games‘ popular time management puzzler, and it looks like the casual gaming phenomenon that is Cake Mania 2 will make its way to Nintendo DS. Cake Mania 2 for the Nintendo DS will succeed the DS version of Cake Mania, as well as continue to reach other casual gamers tapped by Nintendo’s handheld.
Cake Mania 2 for the Nintendo DS will be bringing over 200 levels, all non-linearly arranged to design a plot with multiple paths. New themes will create varied levels for the stylus-wielding baker, including underwater theme parks and the great vastness of space. There are also new cake designs to be had, more frosting flavors, 50 kitchen upgrades, and a new Endless Baking mode.
Now under development by Digital Embryo, Cake Mania 2 for the Nintendo DS is expected to be served by the second quarter of 2008. Majesco Entertainment, however, also has plans for Cake Mania on the Nintendo Wii. More on that as details are divulged.
