DS Browser tops Amazon Japan, First User Videos hit Web
The DS Browser has recently gone on sale in Japan, and it’s holding up pretty well: The Japanese Amazon website lists the DS browser as #1 in the Video Games charts. Now users are starting to post videos showing off the browser – this is probably just one of many. But it’s certainly interesting to see this piece of software in unedited action. And apparently, it’s not quite the revolution we’ve been hoping for – the application seems a bit sluggish and slow. The user reviews on Amazon generally confirm this, stating that even with the dual screens, navigation is harder than on the PSP because of the reduced resolution and screen size. Character recognition is said to be not working too well, either.
Maybe Nintendo will be working on the issues for a release outside Japan. Until then, we’re stuck with videos such as the one below.
