Media Create has come up with a list that showed which video game titles sold the most from December 24 to December 30 of last year, the week of high importance for developers.
The list contains 50 titles all in all but only the top ten titles were accompanied by sales figures. Even with the popularity that the latest gaming consoles are getting, it was a PS2 game that took the first place.
That specific title was Super Robot Wars OG Gaiden which had sold for at least 196,000 units. Other than this surprising outcome, games for the Wii, Nintendo DS, and PSP followed as expected.
Second place was Wii Fit, selling almost 135,000 units. Another Nintendo creation made it to third, Mario Party DS with 131,428 units. Square Enix titles took the 4th and 5th places with Final Fantasy IV selling 126,434 and Star Ocean: First Departure selling 105,104 units.
The top sixth selling game was Wii Sports with 81,671. Seventh was Suzumiya Haruhi no Yakusoku with 81,089 units. Coming in at eight was Professor Layton and the Curious Village for the Nintendo DS, selling 79,500 units.
Lastly, Dragon Quest IV came in at ninth place with 77,780 units and Super Mario Galaxy was tenth for selling 55,914 units.
