Metal Gear Solid 4 to be packed in a 50GB Blu-ray disc

Even though information’s continuously released on Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, apparently there’s still a lot of mystery revolving around it. Konami has revealed that the game will be put in a 50GB Blu-ray disc and not the standard 25GB disc. But what’s gonna take up that much space? The full article might be able to give you a hint.

To eager fans of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, here’s some news that you would probably what to think about. It seems that the game will be packed in a 50GB Blu-ray disc instead of the constricted 25GB disc.

Konami revealed in a meeting with retailers that the game will be produced using a 50GB disc. In addition to this, Ryan Payton announced that U.S. and European versions won’t be having a Japanese voiceover and vice versa.

This is certainly something interesting. The disc has a massive 50GB capacity. Then the voiceovers have already been lessened, freeing up more space. We can only imagine the things that will be jam packed in the game. Hours and hours of hi-definition sound? Or wait, what about HD cutscenes of the game?

Well, this is something that got our attention. We’re not sure about the things that can be found in the game. After all, it’s still in the process of development.
