Metal Gear Solid 4 video: Quick and easy Drebin points

We imagine that plenty of guys here are several hours into their play-through of Konami‘s Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the PlayStation 3. By now, you should have run into Drebin. His pimpin’ purple suit, platinum hair, and hyperactive pet monkey aside, this smooth-talking gun runner provides you with essential “special services”. That is, so long as you supply him with a steady stock surplus firearms, freshly picked from your enemy’s corpses.

The accessories he provides for your hardware are pretty good (the M4’s red dot sight is a godsend), though admittedly, they’re steeply priced. There’s one spawn point in MGS4 that provides you with a steady stream of enemies to kill, in turn providing you with an unlimited stock of guns to pilfer. We have spotted similar spawn points during our play-through, though this one gets a highlight since it can accessed near the start of the game. We’re not really sure if this merits as an exploit, or as a game design slip-up. In any case, it looks like we’ll be bagging that Tanegashima earlier than expected. Enjoy the clip!
