Metal Slug Anthology Announced

Today, SNK Playmore revealed to IGN that they’d be releasing Metal Slug Anthology on the Nintendo Wii. After not supporting Nintendo home consoles for years, they’re finally on board. This first title of theirs will be a compilation of Metal Slug, Metal Slug 2, Metal Slug X, Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug 4, Metal Slug 5, and maybe even Metal Slug 6. The anthology will retain the old-school 2D graphics while adding controller functions to take advantage of the Wii Controller.

Ben Herman, SNK Playmore USA President, says, “The Wii controller will be used in a new and unique way that enhances the gameplay. Our fans have demanded that we support Nintendo platforms. Let the celebration begin.” Celebrations should begin this E3 when we learn more about the game.
