Microsoft and Peugeot launch Xbox 206 car

Let’s go a li’l bit off topic here and talk about cars. Rewind four years ago. Remember the Playstation 2 Clio? Sure, we don’t have much use for this vehicle in PS2 games, but the marketability of Sony in Europe has given way to this awesome design. Will Microsoft want to be left behind? Seems the answer is no.

Even in Europe, when the Xbox 360 is just capturing the gaming audience after the original Xbox console didn’t fare too well, Microsoft faces the challenge bravely. Microsoft and French car manufacturer Peugeot joined forces to create Xbox 206, a car that looks as cool as the Peugeot 206 plus the green side lining and the Xbox 360 seats (and much more). This won’t be in any Project Gotham Racing 4 vehicle line-up, as this is a real, honest-to-goodness car. Wouldn’t it have been nice if Peugeot had taken it a step further and furnished it with Xbox 360 consoles in the backseat too?

The Xbox 206 has been available in the market since September 28 and comes in White Ice-Barrier, Black Obsidian, and Aluminum Gray tints. It’s a limited edition and costs €12,350 to €12,850 (around US $15,400 to $16,100).
